Summary
DMC is currently looking for Millwrights to join our team on a full-time contract basis, based in Sudbury, ON. Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, the Millwright is responsible for installing, aligning, and dismantling of equipment for inspecting and maintaining of equipment.
Responsibilities
- Perform quality maintenance work as directed by their supervisor
- To install, dismantle, assemble, construct, erect, move, replace, inspect, adjust, maintain, and repair mechanical and process equipment and structures throughout mines and plants
- To install, inspect, service, and test hoisting ropes and shaft conveyances
- To perform metal welding excluding pressure welding
- Align with work safety policies and safety regulations
- Team members are also involved in the development of long-term and short-term maintenance initiatives, practices, and procedures
Qualifications
- Basic Underground Common Core 770010 Program (U0000, U0001, U0002, U0012)
- Strong organizational and time management skills are expected
- Thorough knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical principles is preferred
- Experience installing, maintaining, and repairing equipment (hoist, hydraulic, pneumatic, power transmission, mechanical drives, conveyor systems, pumps, overhead cranes) are considered an asset
- Oxy acetylene cutting and burning
- Welding tickets are considered an asset
- Mechanical and hydraulic blueprint reading is considered an asset
- Trade Certification: A valid Industrial Mechanic / Millwright Red seal trade certificate for the province of Ontario (433A) is required
- Experience: 4 or more years of industrial experience is preferred

- Hourly range is expected to be between: $20 to $28 (CAD) + hourly incentive bonus.
